Multi award winning Blackwells Butchers have been providing the local community with the finest quality meats for over half a century. Nestled in the heart of Norton Village, Blackwells Butchers are an integral part of the local community and village life and are strongly committed to not only providing the very best produce available but also protecting the heritage and maintaining the character of Norton.

There has been a butchers shop on the site of Blackwell’s for over a hundred years so when Martin Blackwell inherited the family business from his father in 1978 he was determined to maintain the “Quality First” ethos. Under Martin’s management, the business went from strength to strength and has been a member of the Q Guild, which recognises only the cream of independent butchers, since 1992.

The business was handed over to 3rd generation of the family Anna Blackwell. Under Anna’s leadership and direction the business has seen a number of exciting developments to meet the needs of the local community including launching a deli counter; serving artisan meats & cheeses, hot and cold food and homemade hassle free meals. She has also enhanced the business to meet the ever changing consumer landscape by launching Blackwells Butchers online store with click & collect, local delivery and national delivery services. Demand for the quality produce has also led to catering services through their vintage style food vans and not forgetting the Blackwells business food van service.

Our business ethos is simply “Quality First”. To ensure we achieve and maintain our own high standards all of our produce is sourced from local farmers and suppliers and we only buy the very best.
